Ta vikend nimam nobene nove naloge zato dobite namesto tega en lingvistični vic v slovenski priredbi:
Profesor lingvistike predava v razredu o nikalnih stavkih: “V slovenščini dvojno zanikanje ostane zanikanje. V nekaterih drugih jezikih, recimo v angleščini, dvojno zanikanje pomeni trdilni stavek. Ampak niti v enem jeziku dvojno pritrjevanje ne pomeni zanikanja.”
Pa se oglasi eden od študentov: “Ja, seveda.”
V originalu pa takole:
A linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. “In English,” he said, “a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn’t a single language, not one, in which a double positive can express a negative.”
A voice from the back of the room retorted, “Yeah, right.”
